Portal Module

Portal allows you to manage users and files in a secure section of a website requiring users to log in with an account to access.

Manage Users

Add a new user by entering their first and last name and click on the “Add” button.

Search for users by entering the search term you are looking for in the search fields. Users can be searched by username, first name, last name, code, and by active or all users.

This list can be ordered by the options in the dropdown. User list can be exported into a csv file by clicking the “CSV Export” button.

Edit User

Once a new user has been added, they will show in the list of portal users. To edit this user, click on the green edit button on the right-hand side.

To activate a user, there are 4 things that need to be done:

1. Add their email address.

2. Check the verified box.

3. Check the active box.

4. Click the “Reset Portal User” button in the top left to generate an automatic email sent to the user with login details.

The personal details can be filled in by the portal admin or by the user once they log in.

Under admin use, the portal admin can reset the user password, change the user type, assign a manager, verify and activate the account, assign or change the membership number, assign a membership group, assign a membership type, add the membership date, and assign the membership renewal date.

Tip:

Be sure to hit save once all applicable information has been updated.

If applicable, there is a membership card button that will generate a custom card that can be printed and laminated.

Portal Files

Files can be added to the secure portal area for members to view.

Click “add file or create a directory” to either add a file or create a folder to organize files.

When adding a file, it can be assigned to a directory, or the root folder (top level folder not in any directory).
Existing files with the same name as the newly uploaded file will be OVERWRITTEN by the newly added file without prompting. Filesize is limited to 20MB when using this form.

The system attempts to identify the file type with fairly good success.

Portal Photos

A gallery of photos can be added to the secure portal area for members to view. Click on “Add a Gallery” to create a new gallery. Give it a name and click “Add”.

Edit Gallery by clicking on the edit button on the right hand side.

Update the gallery options to change the layout of the photos.

Upload individual images or a zip file of multiple images using the “Choose File” button.
Previews can be resized to a larger size if they look blurry when viewing the gallery by changing the size in the dropdown and clicking “Resize”.

Portal Settings

This is where portal settings can be modified. Settings include adding membership group options, adding membership type options, changing the welcome message, changing the default email address, adding a logo, and enabling custom member details fields.
